Excellence in Education Banquet
Each spring the Greater Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes top students from Dunn County schools at its Excellence in Education Banquet. The inspiring evening honors students in the top 10% of their graduating class from four area high schools: Boyceville, Colfax, Elk Mound and Menomonie, the top 25 graduates from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and the top student from Chippewa Valley Technical College. In addition to the honored students, an outstanding educator from each school, chosen by their peers or students, is also recognized. An area business is selected to receive the Business Friend of Education Award.
The Annual Chamber Golf Outing starts the summer season off with a full day of golf, food, prizes, camaraderie and the opportunity to get to know other Chamber members.
FreedomFest is an old fashioned 4th of July community celebration. Chamber members and volunteers unite to provide an outstanding day of family fun, games, a foot race, food and entertainment. The Fest is held in Wakanda Park and is topped off by a fireworks display to celebrate our nation’s birthday.
