Leadership Menomonie has been an incredible experience for me.
Having only lived here nine years it has been a great way to get
to know Menomonie and Dunn County better. The program is well coordinated
for each month and I have been astounded with what this community
has to offer the people that live here. The other part of Leadership
Menomonie is the chance to get to know some amazing people. I have
truly enjoyed everyone in my class and have made some great friendships
through this program. For anyone that is looking for a way to get
involved in our community this is a great opportunity.

Leadership Menomonie has been a unique and wonderful experience
for me. This program provides a foundation for community citizenship
that helped open doors and introduced me to really great people.
I felt privileged to be a part of it. I believe it is a testament
to this “Right in the Middle of Everywhere” community
that so much of its resources have been dedicated to enriching
the lives of its citizens. Each monthly program was well designed
and coordinated; full of information and activities that made me
think and want to “do.” And did I mention FUN?

Leadership Menomonie has been a wonderful experience. It opened
my eyes to a whole new aspect of our community I had yet to discover.
I learned more about myself in the two-day retreat than I could
have ever imagined. Had I not been able to participate beyond that,

I hope to have continued relationships with and made invaluable

Leadership Menomonie has been a valuable learning experience.
Being new to the area this program gave me the opportunity to learn
about the community on a much deeper level. This program provided
a base that I will build upon for the rest of my personal and professional
life. I was so impressed with the format of the program; the transition
from internal growth to actual application was seamless. Never
have I experienced a program where all your abilities would be
tested. The instructors and guest speakers provided insightful
information that could be related to all professional fields. This

As a 2007 LM participant, I have become friends with people who
are appreciative of what Menomonie has to offer and passionate
about making Menomonie a better place through civic involvement.
I have also increased my awareness regarding how government on
a state and local level plays a role in our everyday life. The
LM program allows participants to not only learn a great deal about
the community, but also facilitates direct interaction with the
people that make things happen. There is no greater experience
for a new resident to become directly involved. I can't recommend
this program enough!

Wow - Through the Leadership Menomonie program I have realized
the reason why I appreciate living and working in the Menomonie
area. Being born and raised in the Menomonie area I have become
more aware of the numerous opportunities and resources available.
This leadership experience has opened my eyes to be able to network
with other businesses and leaders within the community. And the
leadership training has enabled me to grow personally and professionally.
The laughter, the friendships, the advice, and the encouragement

Leadership Menomonie has been one of the most influential
experiences that I have had. I have lived in this community for
eighteen years, and yet I discovered things about this area that
I never knew. Not only did I learn more about our community and
its people, but I have made lasting friendships with the others
in my class. Spending time in this curriculum and with the people
involved in this program has helped me grow in many ways. I have
become a better leader, a better listener, a better learner, a
better community member, and a better friend. This experience has

Having lived in Dunn County for almost 30 years, I expected Leadership
Menomonie to be a refresher course in what our communities have
to offer. The course was in fact not a refresher course, but an
introduction to all the wonders we are so fortunate to have here
in Dunn County. The community leaders developing the monthly programs
delivered critical information in a creative, entertaining, eye
opening manner that left me in awe of what we have and of course
what we have to lose if we don’t take active roles in our
community to preserve our resources. Leadership Menomonie has been
an incredible journey. One of the greatest strengths of this program
is the relationships that have developed over the year. We have
challenged each other and ourselves to reach deeper within to accomplish
what may not have been possible in the past. These relationships
also added energy, fun and of course friendships and respect that
will go far beyond Leadership Menomonie. I was very fortunate to
be part of this experience and would encourage anyone seeking personal
and professional growth to take part in Leadership Menomonie.

I am very thankful for my Leadership Menomonie experience. I met
many business professionals in the area that will be a part of
my networking in the future. The tours and speakers were all very
interesting and fun! The variety of industry and business that
our group was exposed to shows the rich diversity of Dunn County.
The ropes course was life-changing and increased my self-confidence.
Working with a great group of people (who had just met) supporting
each other and working together as a team from the beginning made
it even more rewarding! I have an increased appreciation for the
Menomonie area and all it has to offer its residents and visitors!
